Studium Resort
Duik met Het Resort in de hoofden en praktijken van de kunstenaars achter de ‘episodes’. Bij elk gesprek is Klaudija Ylaite je gids en onthult ze de drijvende kracht achter hun artistieke expressie, visie, methoden en thema’s binnen hun praktijk…. Het publiek wordt uitgenodigd om actief deel te nemen aan het gesprek.
Théo Demans over het creëren van een fysieke ruimte van samenzijn voor immateriële praktijken. Hoe kunnen we een taal van ecologie (aan)leren? Hoe faciliteren we zorg? Welke andere vormen van samenzijn kunnen we bieden?
Theo Demans (they/them) maakt sculpturen en scenografieën. Théo’s werk draait om het transformeren van immateriële praktijken in tactiele, immersieve ervaringen. Théo creëert hedendaagse rituele omgevingen die uitnodigen tot actieve publieksparticipatie en die momenten van saamhorigheid en collectieve verbondenheid stimuleren. Théo is betrokken bij verschillende co-creaties met kunstenaars, zoals het duo touche-touche met Carolin Gieszner, maar ook bij curatoriële inspanningen. Samen met Melanie Bonajo vertegenwoordigden zij het Nederlandse paviljoen op de 59e Biënnale van Venetië.
Théo was onderdeel van Het Resort’s S02E01: NO TIME TO WASTE – een tentoonstelling in het zwembad in 2019 met Elise Ehry en Willem de Haan.
Studium Resort
Join Het Resort as they dive into the minds and practices of the artists behind the episodes. At each talk the lovely moderator, Klaudija Ylaite, will be your guide, unveiling the fab that fuels their artistic expression, vision, methods and themes within their practice.… The audience is invited to be an active participant in the conversation.
Théo Demans on creating physical space of togetherness for immaterial practices. How can we (re)learn a language of ecology? How do we facilitate care? Going beyond safe-spaces, what other forms of togetherness can we provide?
Theo Demans (they/them) is making sculptures and scenographies. Théo’s work revolves around transforming intangible practices into tactile, immersive experiences. Théo creates contemporary ritualistic environments that invite active audience participation, fostering moments of togetherness and collective bond. Théo is involved in various co-creations with artists, such as the duo touche-touche with Carolin Gieszner, as well as curatorial endeavors. Alongside Melanie Bonajo, they represented the Dutch pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale of Art.
Théo was part of Het Resort’s S02E01: NO TIME TO WASTE – an exhibition at the swimming pool in 2019 w/ Elise Ehry and Willem de Haan.
