Gedurende een werkperiode van twee maanden onderzochten Dirk Hoogeveen, Hildur Elísa Jónsdóttir en Yemo Park de esthetiek, functie en sociale waarde van het bruine café.
In ‘doesnt’ last then, does it?’ zijn tijdelijke interventies te zien, waaronder performances, installaties en zelfs consumeerbare kunst. Hun verschillende praktijken komen samen in de vluchtige aard van de werken – geworteld in het nu, maar inherent tijdelijk – die kroeggangers uitnodigen om in het moment te zijn. Als je in de intieme magie van De Souffleur belandt, omringd door kunst, drankjes en het gefluister van het verleden – vraag jezelf dan af:
It doesn’t last then, does it?

During a work period of two months Dirk Hoogeveen, Hildur Elísa Jónsdóttir and Yemo Park explored the aesthetics, function and social value of the café.
‘Doesnt’ last then, does it?’ is a constellation of site-specific works – passing gestures and tangible offerings spanning performance, installation and even consumable art. Their diverse practices meet in the fleeting nature of the works – rooted in the present, yet inherently temporary – inviting guests to be fully in the moment. As you find yourself under the intimate spell of De Souffleur, surrounded by art, drinks, and murmurs of the past – ask yourself:
It doesn’t last then, does it?
